Who we are

Huntington’s Disease Association Tasmania was established in 1978, incorporated in 1983, to develop educational programs and provide support for Tasmanians affected by HD.

The Association aims to assist families in coping with and understanding of the disease, all while helping these families develop a strong unified voice in the quest for quality services, dignity and respect.

Not alone

Huntington’s Tasmania understands; whether you have the disease yourself, are the partner of the affected party, caring for someone with HD, gene-positive or believe to be at risk of inheriting HD.

We can provide support, information or refer you to medical professionals who can help, such as Mental Health Tasmania or specialist Huntington’s Disease caseworkers.
